This project looks at the presence of weeds in the small corners of my home garden—plants that are often ignored, unwanted, and usually removed. I have tried many times to get rid of them, but they keep growing back. They spread quietly and take up space, no matter how often I remove them. When I started to look at them more closely, I noticed how different each one is. Even though they are small and not strong-looking, they survive. The term "weed" is a human defined in the other hands the context of ecology, there is no such thing as a weed. Every plant plays a role within its environment.
Through painting and object installation, I share this new way of looking at weeds. I use bricks and materials collected from the site of observation are incorporated into the work to reflect both the physical and conceptual space of this exploration.
